As I said in my last entry, I wanted to share some hands from my two deep FTOPS runs. This entry will include hands from the $1k FTOPS event that I finished 4th in. I'll try to follow early next week with some hands from the $2500 FTOPS. Again, I'm excited to contribute some poker content as I know y'all are tired of reading about my otherwise uneventful life.

It was a work infested weekend. I decided to sort of detox this weekend and just stick around Tuscaloosa and play the FTOPS series all weekend. Alabama football was 90 miles west in Starkville, Mississippi playing Mississippi State, but I decided against going. Last week Bama clinched and SEC Championship birth by winning the west, and this week they didn't stumble as they routed MSU in hostile Starkville 31-3.

I was leaving class on Monday night headed to the gym when my buddy Mike Katz called me. We were talking for a bit, and then he asked if I was playing the FTOPS $1k event. I  didn't even realize that the event was taking place. I continued on to the gym, got home and then remembered having spoken with Mike. I joined the tournament 10 minutes or so late despite having a paper that I really needed to write for my Entrepreneurship class. 9 hours later I finished 4th of the 1366 entrants for $105,000. It was the largest score I've ever had in an online poker tournament, just notching the $101,250 I scored in another $1k on Full Tilt 10 months prior.
