It's 545 a.m. Sunday morning. Adam, Mike and I spent the evening at Tryst. The Wynn's nightclub is in a dogfight for my favorite nightclub and is very arguably the best overall nightclub in Vegas.

The guys and I have been doing some cool stuff and having fun. I figured I would quickly update for the 19 or so of you readers who are interested. Lots of updates to come. Cody won the master bedroom flip but I bought it from him for a more than substantial offer. sigh. My AC adapter on my computer also died so my Dell XPS is stone dead. I'm an underdog to wake up and go to Fry's Electronics on the strip and go get the one they promised me they have in stock. Otherwise, I don't know what I'ma do for a computer for tomorrow's degen online tournaments. The billion dollar company that is Dell told me that they cannot overnight an AC adapter. I would've laid 1000 to 1 in favor of them having the capability to do that. Also I sucked out 3 straight times and won a WSOP ME seat in the steps this evening so I'm going to Vegggggggggggas! lawl I'm already here. I feel like I'm really turning a corner in NLHE but maybe I'm just running hot. I've already eclipsed last year's losing mark in 2008, so it turns out I won't go broke soon. Also Jon Little is coming over for the tournaments online tomorrow. It'll be rewarding for all of us to be in the presence of one of the best poker tournament players of all-time. gn. I'll show up with more tomorrow if I have a computer.

Finally, congrats Lee Markholt on his win at WPT Reno. Words can't do justice for how good a classy, fantastic player like Lee is for our business.

Just arrived in Las Vegas. It is the first time I've seen the house that we'll occupy for the next 2 (hopefully 4) months. It's insane. Tonight we'll flip for the bedrooms. One time I need to run hot and scoop the Master Bedroom. We're going to Caesar's sportsbook in an hour or so to watch the NCAA games and drink coronas with Marco Johnson and Jared Hamby. Gonna be a fun summer. Need Xavier, UCLA, UNC and Louisville tonight. Tournaments don't start until Wednesday, but I have a feeling we'll find a way to stay busy.

It's 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The Easter weekend was a fun one. For four days my life involved nothing but NCAA basketball. I went to the early session of the NCAA games in Birmingham on Friday morning with my Mom. I was tilted when I found out they didn't serve beer during the event. In the early games Tennessee had to fend of American and then Butler killed South Alabama. I was looking forward to watching potential NBA prospect Demetric Bennett for USA, but he played terribly and probably won't get drafted now. Butler looked insane good in this game. I ate dinner with my Mom and sister Carly during the break between sessions. Next, my friend Kaleb and I went to the night session. We outsmarted the powers that be and snuck in miniature bottles of liquor. pwnt. In the night games Oklahoma held off St Joe's and then Louisville made a mockery of Boise State. After the games Kaleb and I joined a bunch of my friends from college at Innisfree in Birmingham and didn't make it in until around 4 a.m. Saturday was a lot of basketball on TV. Sunday, my Mom and both of my sisters went to the final NCAA session with me. Tennessee and Butler played arguably the best game of the tournament so far with UT winning in OT. Then Lousiville just clobbered Longar Longar's Oklahoma Sooners. Louisville is playing redic and could go a long way. After all was said and done I ended the first 48 games with a dismal 30-18 record. Although, the average bracket that was filled out this year is probably only like 33-15 or 34-14 at this point. I'm pretty sure I'm all but mathematically eliminated from the 2p2 pool, and I'm in sixth of six in the pool with my roommates. Still time though.

In poker news: Things went poorly for me last night. I lost a buy in and a half or so. Then, trambopoline and I decided to run some flips on UB. We flipped probably 130 times and I was up like 8000. He got it down to like 5000 and then we called "20 more flips". He beat me like 15-5 in those last 20 to take me for 5000 vblasjkasdf;asjhasjdfsvasc3ieeqoia. Last night my Mom and I headed down to Tuscaloosa to pack some things for my trip. Today, I had a meeting with my accountant. It didn't take long because I had a losing 2007 :) I had a fantastic night playing poker tonight where I was able to beat a gentleman for like 6 buy ins to recoup last night's losses plus quite a bit. I haven't done this in a long time, so I'm going to post a few of the big hands I won. There was one fun one at the end but somehow UB didn't capture the HH. Enjoy

In other news: Stephanie and I are no longer together. We dated for 19 months. I wrestled with whether or not I would even post this info in my blog. Simply, it seems neither Stephanie nor I were willing to put forward the effort needed to maintain a long distance relationship. It was almost certainly a mistake moving her out with me for 5 or 6 months last year, as it was way too soon and we'd only been dating 9 months. To go from living together to being a few hours apart was unspeakably tough. Not to mention, I'm about to head back out to Vegas for a few months and then to Tuscaloosa for who knows how long. I don't anticipate being in a relationship for quite some time now. I am an absolute n00b at things like relationships. I probably could have been a much better boyfriend, but I'm probably a little too selfish. I'm excited about the chance to do EXACTLY what I want to do now though. It would be a lie to say I'm not hurting a little bit. I spent the day remembering all the amazing times the two of us had over the last year and a half. We traveled the world and both got to do things that most people our age only imagine. She is a great girl, and I'll miss her.
