Eh. Not much to report on this one. I arrived about ten minutes late after getting just a few hours sleep. We went to Tao and got a table for Stephanie's birthday and had a really good time. It was all of the roommates, Aussie J, Adam Geyer, Alex Jacob, his girlfriend Jen, Stephanie and me. We drank entirely too much and put together an embarrasingly impressive bottle tab. After it was over Aussie J and I decided to play some blackjack to try to get the 2000 dollar bar tab money back. The first hand I put 1000 bucks down and he put 500. We peeled off A7 against the dealers 5. We doubled, so now it was a 3000 dollar hand. We peeled a gross 7 for a 15. The dealer then peeled off a disaster 6 for 11. Almost before we could count the dealer's total, she had put a 5 and a 9 on the felt for a bust. Good game Venetian. Thanks for the free night of partying.

So, in today's tournament I basically just blinded down to 2000 from the 4000 chips. I got moved to a table with Joe Simmons to my direct left about an hour into the tournament. Somehow, Joe had amassed a stack of 18000+ chips already. I think I saw AQ once for my best starting hand of the day. At 1/200 it was folded to me in the SB and I jammed J9o for 1900. I have no idea if that is a shove or not. I need to read up on the SnG ICM numbers. Interestingly, in this hand the 8s was turned face up on the deal and was the exposed burn. Joe called me with A8dd and the flop came 874. I missed my ten outs though and that was that. I went to Bellagio to play some cash. I got about 3 hours of play in and won 2000, my buy-in for the day. The games weren't nearly as good as the night before. I played two big pots on the session. Once, I made a bad call on the river with AA on K7768 and the other I got KQhh AI on the flop of Th 5h 3c vs JhJs and rivered the Qd. Stephanie and I ate dinner at the food court at Caesar's. Now, I'm going to bed because I'm still really hungover. Tomorrow is a yummy 1500 NLHE. Also, I just got a 40" flat screen TV for my bedroom using my PokerStars FPPs. We got it set up and it looks cool :)

I overslept for yesterday's 2000 dollar limit event and the 2 p.m. event at Bellagio, so Stephanie and I spent the afternoon out by the pool. Today I played the 5000 dollar event at Bellagio and busted around the middle of the pack of the 38 entrants. I headed over to the poker room and had a very, very nice five figure session at 10/20. I take comfort in knowing if I was to go broke to my last few thousand dollars of net worth I could make 300 bucks an hour at that game. I really am going to try to get in atleast 20 hours a week in that game in the prime time hours, especially after the series is over when I have some free time. The 25/50 is probably good at times, too, but I haven't played and don't really want to swing 20000 a day. I guess I'm still around break even for the summer overall. Tomorrow is Stephanie's 22nd Birthday. As much as I want to play the 5000 dollar 6 max event at Rio, I've decided to skip it to spend time with her. I'm such a great boyfriend...I know. The plans are to go to dinner at N9NE at Palms and then get a table at a nightclub weeeeeeeeee.

I hung around in the 30 minutes of LHE and built my stack up to 9100 at its peak. We switched to NLHE. I raised and got reraised and was down to 7500 at 3/600. With five minutes left in NLHE, A kid with a bunch of chips opened for 1700 in the hijack. It was folded to me in the BB, and I decided to resteal with KJo AI for my 7500 total. I have too much to stop and go, but he definitely has to have a big hand to call as I'm laying him just over 1.6:1 to call, and a BB's range over a hijack's preflop open isn't anywhere near as wide as a cutoff or button's open. Not to mention, I could have the best hand with KJ high. The took surprisingly long, 30 seconds, before calling me with JJ. The board came AQx for some help but the turn was a 4 and river a Q to busto me around 85th place with 63 getting paid. I'll be playing in the 2000 dollar LHE event tomorrow at noon. For now, I'm going to get in the pool for 45 minutes and then play the 1000 dollar tournament on FTP.
